Words make me lifeless

*Guest post by my lovely talented cousin. Although she always says she is a novice, but everyone would agree that this post she wrote effortlessly is really inspiring!*

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words make me lifeless, sticks and stones hurt my body while words are ghosts that haunt me.

Pain left its scar on a mind that was tender, the bones are healed. But this words I remember giving me a sharp pain like a stubborn migraine.

The word you just said made that girl a living-dead, the “useless” you called him just made him stop believing in himself.

Yes you didn’t kill him with your hands, Yes you didn’t pull the trigger at her buh you know something?

You killed with your words!

True! You are guilty of murder. How many more souls would you take with your words? Someone somewhere just cancelled suicide coz he/she received a call from someone.

That prostitute just believed she could be successful without selling herself coz someone proved it to her, someone believed in her.

Now this is a wake up call, SPEAK POSITIVITY. So STOP destroying people and shattering their dreams. Pen is lifted till another bothering issue

Great Moral Story: The old man & The scorpion.

An old man saw a scorpion drowning and decided to pull it
out from the water. He calmly extended his hand to reach
the creature. When he did, the scorpion stung him. With
the effect of the pain, the old man let go the creature and
it fell back into the water. The man realizing that the
scorpion was drowning again, got back and tried to rescue
it but then again it stung him. He let go of it again.
A young boy standing by, approached the old man and
said, “excuse me Sir, you are going to hurt yourself trying
to save the evil-vicious creature, why do you insist?Don’t
you realize that each time you try to help the scorpion, it
stings you?”

The man replied, “the nature of the scorpion is to sting
and mine is to help. It will not change in helping the

So the man thought for a while and used a leaf from a
nearby tree and pulled the scorpion out from the water
and saved it’s life. Then, turning to the young boy, he
“Do not change your nature. If someone hurts you, just
take precautions. Some pursue happiness while others
create it. Let your conscience be your guide in whatever
you do.”

– Taking pain to remove the pains of others is the true
essence of generosity. (Abu Bakr ﻪﻠﻟﺍ ﻲﺿﺭ ﻪﻨﻋٰﯽﻟﺎﻌﺗ )

Late in december i remember,
So vividly when every member of some Malian families
were falsely executed,
Kids were left out,
too young to see their mama & papa
Slaughtered all in the name of war,
Responsibilities accumulated,
yet no accommodation nor education,
hustling for survival under the hot sunny harsh weather,
life is such a roller coaster,
now i believe in the book things fall apart,
I remember the last word mama said,
as she held tight and whispered in an emotional
Never let the scars change who you are,
but let them determine who you become,
this words have been buried inside me,
Lord please see me through,
this can’t be true,
i have been through a lot,
but still not enough to fill the pot,
my pain is real,
Imagine a world of children raising children,
feeling of being left behind and how life isn’t
but in the end we can always move on,
Each day I would close my eyes and pray,
hoping the world would see our pictures,
and feel our pain as they stare within inches,
but its all fairly-tale,
As mama said, its a world of injustice,
we only look up to the provider,
Let the body suffer the pain,
there’s always a brighter day,
at the end of the day!
